​Ege Ercanlı Başar, Founder of Archped. She is completed her Bachelor Degree in Architecture in 2017 and. After that, she decided to continue her education and got her Master’s Degree in Conservation and Restoration from the La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy. She wrote her Master's Thesis on ''Green Buildings in Europe. A research on the value of natural building materials (straw bales)'' and was involved in a straw bale and hempcrete construction workshop in Belgium.

She worked in several architecture offices, and got a permaculture designer certificate. In summer of 2022 she took part in the 'Innovative Learning Spaces’ at the International Scientific School in Sardinia, a program about pedagogy and architecture. By making a bridge between pedagogy and architecture, she found an Archped. Her projects focus on transforming learning spaces. Meanwhile, she organizes architecture workshops with children, offering a different perspective on their creative worlds.

 

Currently, she is the partner of A30 Architectural Studio. Their aim is to create a more ecological environment with sustainable materials.
