Architecture In Learning Spaces

Children live in cities, buildings and schools, designed by adults.

What if they had the chance to

design

their own environment ?

What is ArchPed ?

ArchPed is a platform dedicated to exploring the intersection of 'architecture' and 'pedagogy', focusing on designing learning spaces that foster creativity, curiosity, and engagement for children. Through workshops, research, and innovative design projects, we aim to create environments that enhance children's educational experiences and inspire them to think spatially. ArchiPed focuses on, creating more productive environments by considering children's interests in their learning space, where designers engage directly with users. From classrooms to outdoor play areas, we examine how architecture can support learning spaces; encourage exploration, efficiency to learn and foster a sense of belonging. Through architecture workshops with children, we understand users needs and preferences to shape their ideal learning spaces. At ArchPed, we are committed to reimagining learning spaces to better serve the needs of future generations.

WHAT  WE  DO ?

 Regenerative Architecture

Our design mission is regenerative architecture, we are renovating or redesigning classrooms and schools in existing buildings.

Our approach incorporates sustainable materials, natural light, flexible layouts and permaculture design to improve student engagement and well-being. Effective design considers relation with nature design to create inspiring educational environments.

Permaculture

Design

We provide the design to transform the indoor and outdoor spaces of schools into permaculture gardens, and during this design process, we organize; compost, architecture and agriculture workshops for children and create edible gardens.

ArchPed was founded to create more efficient and inspiring learning environments for children in schools. In today's evolving world, it is evident that many existing schools and newly designed educational spaces often overlook essential design principles.
Our mission is to reimagine educational spaces not merely as physical structures but as innovative, sustainable, and engaging environments that nurture children's imagination. By transforming existing schools and designing next-generation learning spaces, we create environments that foster creativity, inspire curiosity, and prepare children for the future.
